Screen separation

Ok well never again will I order from Repair universe. I ordered a screen/digitizer replacement for my iPhone 5S and after three months the glass has separated from the unit and no its not a batter issue. The parts literally are falling apart. The screen and the plastic bracket around it are just failing. Never again will I order from them. Bought an iPhone 6 screen replacement a few months ago for a client. The screen was showing light leaking out within two weeks. Now the screen has completely come apart and the phone doesn't work. The screen glue also leaked on the inside of the phone. I had to pay $180 for a technician to try to change the screen which was unsuccessful. Now I'm paying full retail price for my client to get a new phone. Thanks, Repairs Universe! ***. Of course they only offer a 30 day warranty because on day 31 the product falls apart.

You can buy parts from here, but don't let them repair your device. This is because if something goes wrong with the repair, they won't refund you even for the part that they used. In my case I send over my phone because I drop my phone and screen broke. So, then they return the phone back to me and there was two issues: 1-the screen was not properly glue down. 2-there was a dead zone in the screen. So this tells me that they did not check my device properly before it left. So I decided to just return the screen and get a refund. Once I return the device, they told me they check the screen and it works and so they can not refund me any money. Then they want me to pay the shipping cost to return the screen back to me. So clearly there is something going on with the phone. Now I just lost $70 for them not to fix my phone and I have to keep another $70 screen even though it did not fix my issue on the phone. So am down $140 right now. In conclusion, this company only want to take your money, but if they screw up they will not refund you at all.

My Ipad screen arrived cracked. I have contacted them and got a "You will receive your refund once the post office refunds us" response. My order was February 27 and here it is 3 months later and still nothing. I received an email in late March telling me that they are still waiting to hear back from the postal service. Now, here it is almost June and still nothing. No emails, no phone calls, zero contact from anyone at Repairs Universe about the status of my refund. This company will not ever receive any of my business. Poor customer service is putting it NICELY. Stay away from Repairs Universe.

IPhone screen was junk

Received a less than new unit, missing screw in home button, a loose screw in the package, earpiece did not work, reported to co. Returned item to them, have been waiting 9 days for them to check out the unit and return a working unit. From the date of order to now is 19 days with broken phone. This was suppose to be an easy fix, just change out the screen, but due to the slow response of this company, it has dragged on for far too long. Do not do business with this company! When they make a mistake on an order, they use any means to put the onus on the customer and avoid correcting their mistake. RU sent me the wrong replacement screen and refuses to make it right. They acted like they would help and then pulled a fast one to avoid correcting THEIR shipping error. I ordered and purchased a new screen for the Sprint G2 LS980. RU sent me the wrong screen. As original screen was cracked but still useable, I waited about a month before opening and installing new screen. When I found new screen wasn't correct and contacted RU they said I was outside return period. I then complained to customer sevice (CS) who asked for photos. I happened to be out town for the week and explained this but had a photo available on my IPad. I sent photo and CS sends me a RMA and stated I had 24 hours to return the screen or they can't help - already knowing from my previous email with photos that I can't comply because I'm working away from home for the week. I complain about this so they send smart-assed reply saying too bad, they are so sorry they will be unable to help but please contact them again if they can be of further assistance. I do not recommend doing business with this company. When they screw up an order, they use any means to put the onus on the customer and avoid correcting their mistake. They ship the wrong product - not what was ordered - and then use technicalities to avoid correcting their mistake. Does this sound like a company you would want to purchase from if you had a problem with your order? I have found there are several others who are cheaper and provide real customer service.

The item I purchased was the wrong item and Repairs Universe charged me a 20% restocking fee for returning it. I simply opened the package saw that it was not what I needed and returned it in the package that I received the item. There was no damage to item. I also paid for shipping the item back to the company. Respectable companies don't charge you for restocking something. Customer service would not refund me the the whole amount. This was my first time doing business with them. I expected better customer service based on their reviews. I will no longer do business with this company.

Screen Malfunctioned in 47 Days. No replacement.

I purchased a replacement screen for my Moto X gen. 2 and it malfunctioned about 45 days after I installed it. I quickly realized that they have a 30 day return policy and it doesn't matter if it is a manufacturer defect or not. The screen ran pretty hot during use and I let them know that but they still would not send me a new one or give me a refund. I really expected my screen to work for more than 45 days when I paid $184.99 for it. Even if they process your order very quickly, it's not worth it if you get a faulty product.

Faulty screen and wrong front bezel

You can't talk to anyone on the phone when it comes to customer service, only sales... surprise! They sent a screen/digitizer(nexus 5)and front bezel which looked good, i.e. the screen fit the front bezel well. The bezel did not fit the stock back and was for a white phone not the black that I had ordered. The screen when installed, I don't do this every day, so I didn't test the operation before completely removing all the parts from the old bezel and installing in the new. The new screen had a non-functioning digitizer and was mirrored and upside down. So, I email their tech support and get the jump through hoop #1 routine; take picture of packing slip... wtf for? right because until recently most electronics parts purchases were for 1st quality parts(OEM)not the the seconds and below that RU is obviously selling now. They can rot, I'll be making all my parts purchases on ebay from now on.

Purchased a replacement screen for my iPhone 6. Item listing stated it was OEM, yet screen does not curve into body like original. It had a cluster of dead pixels. The glass peeled away from the plastic backing within a few weeks, and the screen went completely dead about a month later. Complete garbage, not even remotely up to the standard of typical Apple products. To claim that this is OEM is fraud, plain and simple. And to add insult to injury, product is only warranted for 30 days. I usually use fixit.com for repair parts, but these guys were a bit cheaper. Next time, I'll pay the extra ten bucks. Stay far away from repairsuniverse.com

Broken Screen, *** Parts, HORRIBLE Customer Service

The first two were ehh, the third purchase was garbage #1 Quick and easy purchase, payment and delivery. Screen looked great, worked great, all was great. 3 months later, the screen falls off the digitalizer. Not where it is installed, but the internal glue got loose and the front fell off. So I ordered #3 mistakenly. #2 Two weeks after the first purchase, I bought another and installed it and it is still working on another phone. Minor discolorations of the screen, but hey, for the price it works. #3 Paid directly with a credit card and the screen arrived cracked, company refused to send a replacement until the claims with the credit card hit them. They provided a packing slip and I paid for shipping. Didn't contact me for 3 weeks, then when I finally emailed them to ask, they said the PayPal transaction was not valid. I never used PayPal. Now they are charging us again for what the credit card company reimbursed us and keeping my broken part. UGH Stay away. You can do better on Amazon

Would not replace or refund defective part

Ordered screen/digitizer for broken phone. The order arrived promptly. Installed the part and the phone would not work. their tech service was helpful but we were still unable to fix the phone. He sent a Return Merchandise Authorization. We returned the part. They did not say anything for over a week and then said that we returned the part and it had a crack in the screen. We did not return the product with a cracked screen. Even then, a crack in the screen should not have affected the performance. I suspect that this is a standard operating procedure for them. We have gone back and forth with them and they will not refund our money or exchange the faulty part. We filed a complaint with our card company. They seem to work well up to the point of having problems. When you have a problem with them, they will not take care of their customer. Looking at their reviews, they seem to have a high number of problems that they did not resolve to the customers' satisfaction. We will not recommend them, nor will we do business with them again. Every product is going to have a few defects. The difference between a good retailer and a bad one are how they handle those occasional problems.

Due to my review, people got fired and with a change in management, they got me the screen I deserved with a lot better service. 5/5 stars!

Horrible customer service. I got an ipad mini screen from them and the adhesive they provided sucked. I tried multiple times and multiple different things to get it to work but it didn't. When I was trying to peel the sticky off to try yet again (I had it on a flat surface trying to be as careful as possible) the corner broke off. Also the adhesive (that I put where it told me to in the really *** video) screwed up the home button when I tried to gently remove it to the point that it will not work at all. About 4 days later, it cracked from being outside in 40 degrees. I contacted customer service through their chat and they completely ignored their warranty and said (this is a legitimate direct quote " because the item is physically damaged it cannot be exchanged or expenses covered. " over and over and over. I copy and pasted their warranty that basically said "we will not replace anything due to improper use" and they ignored it. The whole time I was following their instructions but due to adhesive problems, it broke and they refuse to even give me a partial refund. They told me to email customerservice@***.com so I did and told them I did. About 6 lines of chat later they told me to email them at the said address showing that they did not read what I sent them. After I replied "I did. But apparently you don't read what I type. I told you earlier that I did, but you keep telling me to email them. Wonderful listening skills you've got there. " They responded with " It doesn't seem that I can assist you any further. For any other inquiries please email us. Thank you for your time. " and IMMEDIATELY ENDED THE CHAT UNRESOLVED while showing yet again that they did not read that I had emailed them. Also, on their website they have a page of reviews of their company that came "straight from their site from proven buyers". I looked all over their site and could not find the place to write a review, or even where that image originated. Also on the page with that image they specifically tell you to ignore reviews from the other sites because they might not be a "certified buyer". It sure sounds like they are trying to hide the fact that there are a lot more unhappy people than they want you to think. I recommend that everyone stay as far away from this company as possible because they refuse to even honor their own warranty or listen to what you are saying.

Screen is ungluing from frame

Replacement screen arrived and installed as described. After 3 months, the screen began to un-stick itself from the metal frame. There is light leaking from two of the edges and the screen is no longer flush with the frame. I contacted the company and they said I was past the 30 day warranty coverage and was on my own to try and seal it. The customer service was fast, but they offered no support besides telling me to be careful when gluing it back down to avoid contacting it with some of the internal components. I feel that this is an obvious manufacture fault, but they would not help.

I ordered a part and returned it but they said it was not returned on time, which it was and they kept the part anyways. They did not refund my money and wanted me to pay them to return the part which was of no use to me. I emailed them and they just kept saying that I did not return the part on time. It had not even been opened and still they did not offer me any money back for the part. Thievery is what it is. They said I had 10 days to return it from the date they provided me an RMA # and I sent it back but then in the email they responded to me they said I had to return the part 10 days from the day I received it, which contradicts what they told me in the email. Very disappointed. I lost $38.45 and then to send the part back $6.00 and no money returned at all. Bad business practices is all it comes down to
